Like the Godfather did.

Who would've ever thought that Doyle Brunson (yes, THAT Doyle Brunson) was drafted to play in the NBA? By the Minneapolis Lakers, no less.

And no, I'm not f*cking with you. :)

Around two weeks ago, I found out that Universe Weekend was coming to Manila. My first thought was, 'Oh crap,' promply followed by 'Oh crap, I've got to get in on this.' Right now, I'm still absolutely pumped about it. I've got approximately two months to get in better shape to be a spectator. I can't wait.

I came across an advertisement a week or so back; Pokerstars.com was offering a freeroll online tournament exclusively for bloggers. Intrigued (and greedy,) I immediately signed up, and I've thus ditched Pacific Poker to practice on the tournament platform, which is of course Pokerstars.com's poker software.

Now let me tell you, I don't like it. It's constantly updating, and for fear (and greed,) of not being able to participate in the upcoming tourney this Sunday, I *allow* it to update. As soon as the tournament is over, it's gone. If I wanted an UPDATE, I'd take my girlfriend to UP's Chocolate Kiss resto. (get it, UP-date?)

And I'm spent.
