ON TILT.

I placed extremely low during the PokerStars.com freeroll tourney for bloggers, so tonight, I uninstalled the sucker. Revenge can be a bitch. :P lol.

I mean, I played extremly tight for around an hour and was actually the chip leader on the two tables I had left, and suddenly, I've lost. And all I can remember was, my fullhouse got beat by a four of a kind. On the river. That hand killed me. I still had chips, but I was extremely short-stacked. I had to go all-in on my next decent hand or die by the blinds. I got A8 suited, and went all in. One guy called. AQ off. Well, let's just say it was a rainbow of community cards with no 8s.

Ah well.

On to the Universe Weekend, PLUS, F.A.M.E. (fitness and modelling expo.)

After a whole week of skipping the gym due to too many reasons I can't even enumerate, I'm going back tomorrow. Twice. I figure I'll do shoulders during the morning, then maybe do legs and abs in the afternoon.

Don't get me wrong, though, I haven't been slacking off. I put in around 6 hours of basketball this week. ;)

Like the Godfather did.

Who would've ever thought that Doyle Brunson (yes, THAT Doyle Brunson) was drafted to play in the NBA? By the Minneapolis Lakers, no less.

And no, I'm not f*cking with you. :)

Around two weeks ago, I found out that Universe Weekend was coming to Manila. My first thought was, 'Oh crap,' promply followed by 'Oh crap, I've got to get in on this.' Right now, I'm still absolutely pumped about it. I've got approximately two months to get in better shape to be a spectator. I can't wait.

I came across an advertisement a week or so back; Pokerstars.com was offering a freeroll online tournament exclusively for bloggers. Intrigued (and greedy,) I immediately signed up, and I've thus ditched Pacific Poker to practice on the tournament platform, which is of course Pokerstars.com's poker software.

Now let me tell you, I don't like it. It's constantly updating, and for fear (and greed,) of not being able to participate in the upcoming tourney this Sunday, I *allow* it to update. As soon as the tournament is over, it's gone. If I wanted an UPDATE, I'd take my girlfriend to UP's Chocolate Kiss resto. (get it, UP-date?)

And I'm spent.

Taken from Wikipedia.

Tilt is a poker term for a state of mental confusion or frustration in which a player knowingly adopts a sub-optimal, over-aggressive strategy.

Placing an opponent on tilt or dealing with being on tilt oneself is one of the most important aspects of poker. It is a relatively frequent occurrence, due to frustration, animosity against other players, or simple bad luck. Experienced players recommend learning to recognize that one is experiencing tilt and to avoid allowing it to influence one's play. However, putting one's opponents on tilt is a remarkably effective way to win at the poker table, albeit one that isn't going to win many friends.
